As all loans must be paid back, the federal government has made it mandatory that student borrowers complete Loan Exit Counseling prior to graduation. This counseling will explain and help you understand your loan repayment. Please complete the following online counseling for each category in which you received a loan. To determine the loans you received while at Biola University, please reference your Financial Aid documents or your student account billing statements. My.Biola provides information on the past year, only.

If it is your first time logging in, you will need your Heartland Key, which can be obtained by calling Heartland ECSI at (888) 549-3274. If you have any questions regarding a loan in Category 1, please contact the Educational Loan Specialist or Administrator in the Accounting office at (562) 903-4760.

Your transcripts and diploma cannot be released until your financial obligations and other holds are cleared. Official transcripts may be requested via the internet (http://www.biola.edu/registrar/ - select "Order Transcripts"). Unofficial transcripts may be printed from my.Biola. Students can purchase cap and gown sets at Biola's Campus Store during regular store hours or by calling in an order to the campus store at (562) 903-4883.
Talbot Doctoral Students:
If you are a Talbot doctoral student, your regalia will be ordered for you by Jayne Terasawa at Talbot, and your cap, gown, and hood will be available for you to pick up in Myers Hall Room 200. The cost of the rental regalia is $50.00 and will be charged to your student account.
Since doctoral regalia are rented, doctoral graduates must return all regalia to Jayne Terasawa in Myers Hall Room 200 immediately following the commencement ceremony.
Cook School of Intercultural Studies Doctoral Students:
If you are a CSICS doctoral student, your regalia will be ordered for you by Patti Colombo X5740, and your cap, gown, and hood will be available for you to pick up in the CSICS main Office. The cost of the rental regalia is $55.00. Please pay the day of the pick up. Please bring your regalia to the Hooding Ceremony on May 26, 2016.
Since doctoral regalia are rented, doctoral graduates must return all regalia immediately following the commencement ceremony to Patti Colombo in the Marshburn Building.

All Graduates and their guests are invited to gather on Metzger Lawn for a photo opportunity with Biola banners and the famous Biola Alumni Packard car. The photo opportunities will be available before and after the Commencement Ceremony.
Grad Images will be taking professional photos at your Commencement ceremony. Within five weeks of commencement, each graduate will receive an email (which you will provide at rehearsal) from Grad Images with your full-color proofs. Biola will be producing a commemorative DVD of your Commencement ceremony. This DVD will feature the full Commencement message from your speaker, Paul Marshall as well as special features, such as a La Mirada campus tour, a special message from President Barry H. Corey and the ability to jump forward to individual graduates divided by major. These DVDs are only $34.99 including shipping and are available through the Commencement website. Learn more and order your DVD. Additionally, if you order your DVD on or before the day of your Commencement ceremony, you will receive an additional copy at no charge.
Biola will also be offering a digital download option for each ceremony. Details will follow in later Commencement communication.
Once your academic requirements are complete and your financial obligations to the University have been met, your diploma will be mailed to you at the permanent address on your University record. Please check my.Biola and update your permanent address if necessary. Allow six to eight weeks for delivery.
